Another case of big company eating littler company, and forcing little
company (and their customers) onto big company's stuff. Why do smaller
outfits seem to have better systems?

For the most part, we have avoided that at our company (when we were
bought), we still run mostly our own stuff, and our customers are very
happy about it (they really like COM_Net). But that happens a lot. My
bank went through that about 5 times, and each time the systems got worse
(which is puzzling, considering that each time they got bigger!). Finally,
I gave up and work with my Credit Union now. Heck with the big banks!

On the plus side, it seems that Infor/MAPICS are doing a lot of
development! Which I unfortunately can't take advantage of until I go to
R7, which I can't do until I get a bigger i5...... At least I still get
good people answering my questions! And I do like the method of on-line
responding better than the old e:Info's way. I guess we'll learn.

But I do miss the information "push" that we got before on hot fixes and
CUM announcements. It's a shame that's missing.

Nick,
They did not respond until I called this morning and ask for an update. I
would have
been nice if they would have told us this at the begining.
The SH14406 the suggested is not easy to go through and try to find what
should be downloaded.
They should have done some resurch of us users to see what we needed, ect.
Instead of just making
major changes and telling us we have to live with it..
