We use an LTO 3 drive from IBM 800GB compressed tape. Our entire MAPICS
Backup to disk and save AMSLIB and all user Libs takes about 40 minutes.
IBM just announced LTO 4 drives with 1.6TB capacity and twice the speed
as LTO 3. We hace been using LTO for about 4-5 years and they have been
very reliable. The save or restore of the AMFLIB savf takes about 15
minutes.

My save sys now takes over 10 hours, I'm looking at a D2D2T unit from
Cybernetics.

Does any one use these devices or an alternative?

Thanks for your input
