Actually, I think the problem is the reverse of what you are imagining. I have
a sample user exit that only prints the company number on the screen, and I
have the source for the mapics program that displays the carrier details.

What I want is all of the standard screen and validation code that comes stock
in the mapics program AMBDJE1R, with the ability to process some data once the
screen has been submitted and validated. In other words, the only working code
I have does not display the screen I need.

Thanks,

Josh

Just comment out the code that refers to the screen...

Thanks for your input Kris. I've determined that I want to use the
UMBSHPBR program for what I'm trying to accomplish. The problem now is
that this is an api which means I have to display the screen. All I want
to do is process some data after the screen is submitted, is there a way
to do this so that I can still use the XA programs to the extent possible?

I tried compiling AMBDJE1R over UMBSHPBR, but this gave me a parameter
error as you might expect. Anyone done this kind of thing before?

Thanks,

Josh

8R runs when doing maintenance, and are you on the latest PTF's ? I seem
to
recall some bugs which mentioned 'user exit called when...'

Hope this helps,

Kris

In COM, would the user exit Process shipment itmes (UMBSHP8R) run after
maintenance is done in the screens, Maintain shipment by Order (AMBEIDFR),
Maintain shipments by shipment (AMBJMDFR)?

I am currently using Process shipment (UMBSHP6R) but it does not seem to
run
when I update or delete a shipment after it is initially entered. Any
thoughts?

Thanks,

Josh
