Antonio, Greg, everyone who responded back - thanks again. I actually
remembered that before doing strdbg you need to do strsrvjob first.
Thanks Greg for reminding me to get a new membership with COMMON!
I hope to meet some of you at the Sands in Las Vegas in
September...anyone planning on attending?

Sincerely,

For a quick and easy debug, you can use the DSPLY instruction in
RPG..... for example if you want to display value of a variable

c movel *blanks www 1
c account dsply www

In this case the system will display the value of the variable "account"

.... this works for an interactive or batch job.

There was a session on this subject at COMMON. "The Art of Debugging:
Thinking Outside the Developer's Toolbox" - Session 500115.

Also another session "System i5 Debugger Gets a Facelift" Session
430241.

If you are a member these sessions are available at the COMMON website.
