Subject: [MAPICS-L] Remote printing using Host Transform

Hi!

I asked this waaay back in 2002, and got a slew of answers, but the project
went away before I needed to do it. I have a remote location, connected
to use via a VPN tunnel, and using network attached printers. I need to
print barcoded documents there. At my facility, we use *IPDS printers, I
don't have that luxury at this remote facility. I am trying to use Host
Transform services to print them on a network attached Sharp copier.

I defined the printer, and it prints normal documents fine - but when I
send
an *IPDS document, OS/400 immediately puts the document on hold with no
explanation.
I have the printer defined as a 3812 Model 1, IP attached through port
9100,
with TRANSFORM(*YES), MFRTYPMDL(*HP5), ASCII899(*NO),
USRDFNOPT(*IMBSHRCNN), SYSDRVPGM(*IBMSNMPDRV). The rest appears
irrelevant.

Help?
