  If the action trigger does not do what you want, you would want to use the
  UMBCOH1R user exit.  One of my clients is using it to pop up a window
  showing the order orders/customers that used that same PO number and then
  it puts the Order on Hold - a PO (Duplicate PO Number). That gives someone
  a chance to verify that it is either a duplicate order or it is okay and
  release the hold.

  Sometimes, someone would phone in an order, then send a fax for the
  same PO.  If someone else got the fax, there would have been a chance that
  the order would be entered twice...
