David,

You asked about performance indicators with BI type software tools. Are
there any specific indicators that interest you? Are you wondering about
the types of analysis the tools are actually being used for?

I have found that for many people a simple interface, easy to use and
implement can handle most needs. The hard part is extracting the data and
getting it organized/formatted to work with easy manner for a manageable
price.

Momentum's product, inTuator, installs quickly and already has large areas
of the XA (Mapics) database mapped and ready to use. With the provided
samples you could be viewing your own data in a matter of hours. You can
create your own calculations and highlite conditions so you have the exact
indicators you need.

Momentum is the developer of inTuator, Info WorkPlace (IWP), and
JacanaForms.

Regards,
-Greg

Subject: [MAPICS-L] "Business Intelligence"

Anyone doing any "business intelligence" projects? What types of
performance indicators are you measuring? What tool(s) did you use?
Was it a worthwhile effort or just another good marketing idea gone
awry?

Thanks....

David Hayes
