  Jim,

Either in a CL wrapper or before you open the printer file in RPG, call:

CALL 'AXZPRT0C' 90 Print with over PARM 'AMVA7PFR' WQ0032 10 &Program name PARM WUAAN9 WQ0033256 &Narrative 256 PARM 'AMVA7PFR' WQ0034 10 Report name PARM *BLANK WQ0035 10 &Printer control

The printer control could be the Company number or Warehouse Id if the the
document is to be controlled by either of these codes. This call to
AXZPRT0C should work after you add the Printer file to the MZGLCPP file as
was stated - F6 in printer file override maintenance. However, to add any
special controls like Company or Warehouse, you will have to
DFU/DBU/WRKDBF the file to assign those codes (C=Company, W=Warehouse). I
also assign the XA application id to any custom reports.

Also, the 256 byte character string (I believe) is the parameter string
needed to call the program.
I thought that there was some documentation somewhere about how to do
  this...

Eric
