Define Capacity/Variable Capacity in something other than hours -- MAPICS-L

Is there a way in Mapics to define the Capacity and/or the Variable
Capacity for a Work Center in units other than hours?
 
We need to define some of our Outside Vendors with either a capacity in
Pieces or Pounds.
 
Has anyone done this?
