Are you using a scriber to do your markings? Is the material you are
marking metal? We have just started testing some 2d on metal (one of our
options is to use scribers). I know there is a fairly new reader from
symbol designed to read direct part markings, here is the link of the

Hello again!  I know this might be a bit off track - but I can't think

We have begun marking our parts with 2d Data Matrix bar codes, however
they are the dot-peen type.

This means our bar codes look like this:

My question is if any of you have had any success finding a reader for
the dot peen variety?
We've tried two that work on the high contrast version, but not the
