Jimmy,

The UJOBS are designed to monitor for 'Controlled' shutdowns. If you
used the *CNTRLD option when ending a job/subsystem or IPL'ing the
system, the UJOBs are written to monitor for this condition and shut
down automatically. If you are using this option and allow for
sufficient time for the UJOBS to shutdown (60 seconds is suggested), the
no additional coding should be necessary.

As far as startup is concerned the UJOBS should start automatically when
the first event/menu option occurs that needs the UJOB to be started.

Thanks,

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Shutting down UJOB

Does anyone have any insight on how to shutdown and startup the MAPICS
UJOBs from an outside program? We are trying to automate our weekend
save/IPL without having to manually shutdown the UJOBs and subsequently
start them back up from the QSTRUP program.
