When we are doing testing from Mapics R5 to R6, we used the offline load
for Items/Structures/Routings for the release 6 environment, using RPG
programs to build the files in the format needed. That way, you can
delete the entries in one environment while creating add transactions
for the other and pass all of Mapics editing requirements.

Just a thought,

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Copy Bill Of Materials

Hi Group,
We have the task of entering Bill of Materials from one environment to
another. Has anyone had to do this and is there an easy way of coping
over. One division will stop manufacturing the products and another
division will start the manufacting of the same products on the next
day.
We would appreciate any input and help.

Thanks,
