To all,

We are at Rel 7 and using PowerLink. When the MAPICS Java Server
starts, it opens 1 or more spool files which stay open until the job is
ended, typically every night during backup. The spool file names are
QPRINT and the user is MXAPLUS and reference the MPX job numbers. They
appear to be some kind of java or other log. Does anyone no any means
of stopping the spooling of these jobs or redirecting them to another
outq. Mapics support has been no help to us, none of their suggestions
worked.

Here is what I have tried: Changed the default outq for user MXAPLUS to
a non-printing queue. Verified that AMAPICS user has a default
non-printing queue. Verified the user starting the Java server has a
non-printing queue. Verified the job descriptions specify *USRPRF as
the outq and printer. Nothing seems to stop these buggers from spooling
to our default printer. I would appreciate any help on this matter,
whether it stopping the jobs from even spooling or redirecting them to a
non-printing outq.
