Sounds like the intention is to re-plan the completion date of a shop order
(and its corresponding customer order) based on what has happened to the
shop order to date?

Would it make more sense to tell each down stream work center how much time
they had to complete their operations (the time will be necessarily be
compressed) to meet the original promised ship date?
