1) Create a *SAVF in QGPL.
2) Save the library and/or objects into the *SAVF.
3) From the PC, get to the PC Command line.
4) I usually change directory all the way back to C: using CD..
5) Key in at the C: ftp IP.Address.AS400 (press enter)
6) Key your user id (press enter)
7) Key your password (press enter) (you will not see what you are typing)
8) Key in CD QGPL
9) Key in BIN (for binary)
10) Key in GET SaveFileName.SAVF (press enter)

-OR- if you are going to do this a lot, by FTP/Pro. I use it at every
client site. I save the IP addresses and passwords, find the savf and move
it over. Basically, I only need to do steps 1-3.

This should bring it to your PC. If you plan on emailing it or burning it
to CD, you may want to ZIP it.

Subject: FTP from 400 to PC

> I want to FTP programs and procedures in a library on the AS400, from the
AS400 to a PC. Is there a document I could reference to get the
steps/commands or could someone outline steps/commands to do the FTP.
