Ann,

Much to my personal (and professional) dismay, my R7 upgrade project was
cancelled by our Corporate owners. Naturally, this occurred AFTER I had
already had a fully operational test environment at R7 for testing and
training. (Sigh)

However, my affiliate (Guide Technologies) created an exploded indented
browser view for me in R6 - very slick. We use it a LOT in Engineering and
elsewhere. I paid to have it developed, so I own it. I have no objection
to sharing it with others on the thread, but I have to confess I don't have
any idea how I could give it to anyone. If you are interested, I can ask
the consultant that wrote it for me how I could distribute it. Please
e-mail me off-line for this.

I gotta get my MAPICS add-on stuff web site back up!

Dale - (or anyone who has tested or at Release 7),

We are told by the hotline that the ability to fully explode the BOM
(instead of opening each and every + sign), and use the Export to Clipboard
or text file option is available now in Release 7. Have you by chance
tested this feature? Our users need this function for reporting,
decision-making, and calculating throughput dollars. Additionally, we are
trying to retire the old, expensive, not real-time application being used
for reporting if we can export our (large) BOMs to Access or Excel from the
MAPICS Browser.

I am not really questioning the hotline, just trying to make sure what we
asked is what they understood we were asking...

Thanks,
Ann
