At this time I have no MAPICS customers not using it. They fall under
PDM(+) or EPDM but you'll also have it if you have PCC, OBPM, CRP,MPSP,...
They represent the production resource (simplified and bluntly: machines )
You group 'identical' machines in a production facility, give them a hourly
rate and overhead and a capacity
some classification (class, foreman, location,..)
and Voilà you have a means for costing your production time and planning
your work against capacity

Subject: Production Facilities

Curious to know if anyone is using production facilities? If so which
app does it fall under and in a nut shell how do they work?

Thanks,
-Jimmy
