RE: Shippments to Meximo

Since we have EPDM and have to do all item master entry in the  MAPICS
Browser, I don't know what shows up on the green screen for maintenance for
the old ITEM MASTER and the COM Item Extension File.  You could always have
a custom program written (or DFU) on the MAPICS group job menu for this data
entry.  To get custom fields on the packing list, you would have to modify
the source, or maybe use a user exit (if there is one at packing list print)
and create your own packing list spool file (or have something like we do...
FormSprint that grabs the spool file and can modify it).  I know in a user
exit, you can use the RUNRMTCMD and use PC commands to call up Word and
Excel files... don't know the specifics of your particular needs.

There is a harmonizing code field in ITEMASA that is 25 alpha -
UVHCIM...
and several NAFTA fields in the item extension file MBB2CPP, even if you
don't have EPDM or Browser.

I was wondering about using a different field that we don't currently
populate for the Harmonize code.  I noticed that on the item master
there is an alternate number field.  I was wondering if this could be
used.  Even then I wouldn't be sure on how to get it to show up on the
packing slip.
