The idea of providing a common VATTBLE for the MAPICS community has crossed
my mind from time-to-time. Unfortunately, common maintenance would only work
if MAPICS customers standardized their tax suffix and tax indicator usage.

Standardizing would require one time updates to the Item Master, Customer
Master, Special Charges, and possibly the Vendor Master. Given the size of
this task, I believe that most MAPICS customers would prefer to live with
manual VATTBLE maintenance.
