Lloyd,

The ODBC definition may need the system name changed, sounds like you have a
new system. Did they change the system name? If yes, check the ODBC
defined for your MS Access linked tables, is that system name correct? If
not change it to the new system name.

If the system name didn't change, did you set-up the MAPICS environment
different (MM vs MT, AA, etc.) Then the library may need to be checked,
(AMFLIB, vs. AMFLIBTm vs AMFLIBA)

Also, using the current version of client access ODBC may help as Teresa
suggests.

Best Regards,
Ed Kandel

I tried this with the new 400 OS V5R3 and latest 5788 of Mapics and did not
have any trouble. I linked the MBLKCPP and our own built price book file
and it worked. I haven't had any ODBC issues since upgrading the OS. Did
you upgrade the client access express version to 5.3 also? I don't think
that is necessary but it may be worth a try.

Subject: Offline price load

Does anyone out there have a stable method for populating the MAPICS
off-line price files? I used to use ODBC with Microsoft access to cut and
paste-append the contents of an Excel spreadsheet into the off-line file.
Now that I am on our new AS/400 with new O/S and Level 5788 of MAPICS, it
no longer works. In fact, I cannot even use ODBC to manually enter or
modify a record...
