Hi Dan.

Well Then. Here is my two cents worth.

Programming Skills
1. Basic RPG ILE
2. DB2 Database (OS/400)

Advanced Skills
1. MAPICS XA Client Architecture - Integrator
This is very important as most the changes and additions, deletions
that you want to perform for the user can be done within the Client
Architecture.

MAPICS Skills
1. Cross Application Support / Development Course.
While the CAS files appear the same as DB, there are many new
functions / features that are unique to XA and can get you really hung up.
2. AFDWEB - Know how to get and apply PTF's via the web.

3rd Party
1. ASNA AVR
If you are going to need to create add on applications or
significate user programs I highly recommend this programming / development
environment.

Hope this helps

This was really an exercise for determining the technical skillsets I'll
need to bone up on when we get to XA. I'm still not really up to snuff on
MAPICS DB, but will have to know enough to work in the migration.

Thanks,
db
