You can also look at a MAPICS certified partner for laser forms like
Quadrant Software (where I work).

Using AFP/IPDS limits you to printing only to printers that support that
output, whereas, most forms solutions (like our solution FormTastic) allow
you to print to AFP or PCL (standard laser) printers. I know our system
supports AFP as well, but, most of our MAPICS installs prefer to use PCL
because there is wider array of fonts available and you can print to any
laser, not just IPDS/AFP capable ones. Best of all, it runs native 400, so
the reliability is there.

Since you can now print to laser, you can really change the way the output
looks. Eliminate redundant header information, take out blank lines, add
barcodes, without touching source. Now a PO that was 100 pages, is now only
50, but, the data is still there. Its just presented differently. Try
doing that with an overlay! Or maybe some in the batch don't print at all.
They are faxed/emailed, or converted to PDF.

If your interested in learning more about our offering in the electronic
forms space, you can visit our website below or shoot me an email. There is
plenty more information on this topic out there.
