We use MAPICS Browser in our WAN with three nodes. We have put a Mapics
Appl. Server in every LAN. It works well. Our bandwith 512K between nodes.

We install the browser on one server and use terminal services to connect.
The performance is as good as a local installation.

Subject: Mapics Browser in a WAN environment

Good day,

We are in the process of consolidating a number of data centers and I am
concerned with possible performance issues with Browser over a WAN
connection because of its reliance on ODBC. Is anybody on the list using
Browser in a WAN environment? If so, how would you rate the performance
and how much bandwidth is provided between the data center and remote
site?

Your input is appreciated,
Marc Rohde
