Along with all the other good ideas... If you have COM and don't run the
"Print Inventory Transaction Register" menu option, the file INTRWU can get
quite large. We have immediate update, but the records stay in INTRWU until
the transaction register from that particular option is run (for shipping
trans SA, etc.) ( For some reason, noone seems to ever run that option.)
After we went to EPDM there were several files (PSTRUC, ROUTNG, etc) that
were large and we did a CLRPFM as they are not used any longer. Also, we
found there were quite a few members in the AMTLIB that were not getting
cleared with the backup and we had to RMVM specific batch members to get
them out. You can find them by looking at INTRAN in AMTLIB and dspfd after
a MAPICS backup. Also the *SAVF objects in QGPL beginning with SH* we
deleted as all of ours had been applied. (They usually have a matching file
in QDLS\AFDWEB if you download from the web... WRKFLR or WRKLNK to get to
them) There also was a PTF to apply because the APPLOG wasn't getting
cleared with the MAPICS backup. If you haven't applied that PTF, you can
clear the file manually.

If in doubt, call the hotline and they will let you know if a file or member
can get cleared.
