Re: MAPICS save

Wow, Mike - I'd be buried in batches if I did that.  We need to run the
MAPICS backups to get rid of scores of data entry batches on a daily basis,
plus the TRDATA clean ups.  Sometimes I think I should figure out how to
run those steps out of backups independently of MAPICS backups....

Steve,

We do not use the MAPICS save to do our nightly backups.  Instead, we use
the
standard IBM backup procedures that are configurable through Operations
Navigator.
However, I do run the MAPICS backup once a quarter to clear out the batch
files.
We're not a 24/7 shop so it's easy to schedule it for a weekend run.
