Joe, I too ran into the problem. About 3 years ago I started toying with some sort of a dB to handle this. I recently implemented a Warranty dB that uses IBM's net.data and DB2 to create a web-based tool to take advantage of the data on the 400. It works nice, but it is still separate from MAPICS. I did include customer #s,order #s, and invoice #s so that I could create extensive reports, and I could start with either the MAPICS or dB data. Hope this sheds some light. Not the perfect solution, but I can now integrate the data to certain extremes.
