RE: PTFs

Bryan,

Since they cut back support at MAPICS a lot of the downloadable ptfs are
getting behind. The tapeno field is the correct field to look at but it
requires a manual process to update it which they apparently have not
done. Assuming the issue is only the tapeno field and not updating
overall I would just use the cd ptf level as to the cut of what is or is
not on a cd. 

If you do elect to do invididual downloads I would make sure to read the
apar letter to make sure the fix makes sense before applying it. If you
elect to apply a cd make sure to let the cd age a  bit and call MAPICS
to see if there are any required follow on fixes to avoid destroying the
database.

That's a nice tip Cathie, but I am having trouble making use of it. I
downloaded and queried as suggested but do not know how to weed out the
PTF's that don't apply to our level.

We are on XAR5.5 and "PTF PACKAGE SH13585" according to CAS inquiry.
Which field in the physical is equivalent to "PTF package"?  I thought
it would be TAPENO, but I do not any records at all that include
SH13585.

As you can probably guess, we don't stay real current on PTF's (it's
probably been over year since I loaded one) but I thought I would pass
around a list of PTF's sorted by program to our developers.

The download contains a physical file,that you can query, to suit your 
needs.
