Al,

I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Many of the applications are
pre-CUA and the decision was made rightly or wrongly to keep existing
customers with familiar command key assignments and behavior (press
enter to validate changes) stable while following the new conventions in
the newer applications. On top of that the GUI screen scrapper product
is built on top of those same definitions. Changing the green screen
would break the GUI product. This also accounts for the reluctance to
change screens within a release.

Regards

Konrad

Hi Teresa Biby, Dennis Guy Vaillant and Pete Olshavsky:

I wonder if little things like this are why some people
express negative thoughts about the Mapics program.

It seems to me (and I'm not a programmer) that Mapics
should look for "consistancy" in their inputting screens,
especially those that are very commonly used.

I hope that some of our members who work for Mapics will
read the messages under this subject thread and as Captain
Kirk has suggested many times on TV, "Make it happen."

Thanks to all of you for your comments.

Regards,
Al Gershen
