Michael,

as Bonnie mentioned, my company sells a MAPICS add-on system called On-Time Performance Improvement System (OTIS). OTIS is designed to measure the company's performance from its customers' perspective. Its primary objective is to determine 1) the company's ability to meet customers needs and 2) the company's ability to meet its promises to customers. Sales performance is directly related to manufacturing's ability to produce to a schedule. Therefore, OTIS also tracks manufacturing performance by 1) comparing actual completion date to due date of manufacturing order (MO) and 2) tracking actual manufacturing cycle time.

OTIS includes the following measures:
Service level - Ability to ship based upon customer request date
Delivery performance - Ability to ship based upon promise date
Manufacturing performance - Ability to complete manufacturing orders on due date
Manufacturing cycle time - Actual time (in working days) to complete a MO.

Overall sales performance based upon service level and delivery performance may be determined by
assigning a weight to each measure. These sales measures may be based upon ship date from your dock or estimated arrival date at your customer's dock.

Does any one do any of this type of reporting? I am trying to determine a good method of doing such, but I keep hitting road blocks.

I guess I am looking for examples or suggestions on how others might report these numbers.
