Aaarrrrgggghhhh! Oddly enough, even though I've been on OE&I and COM since
1988, I have never noticed that option on the menu, and have never run it.
My affiliate never mentioned it, and neither did MAPICS Support over the
years. So naturally, as a result of this posting, I ran it.

We have an in-house written Warranty Claim processing system, and we pay
labor, freight, and other credits as non-inventory items in a non-existent
warehouse (UNC) on COM Credit Memos against the customer's open book
accounts, as well as standard Warranty inventory items. We do that so the
credit memos are easy to read for the customers - we change the
non-inventory item descriptions on the credit memos to reflect the claims
being paid. This system has been in place for years. Apparently, the
items hang out there for the COM Transaction Register to clean up, even
though they post to A/R correctly. Can you see where this is going?

234,785 pages! 953,899 transactions! I can't believe I never heard of
this before. I wish I'd have looked at disk space prior to running this,
which took over 1 hour......

Joan,

It is on the COM pick/pack/ship menu, AMBM1B.. Option 12 with the new
pick/pack/ship and option 9 for the original classic edition.

It says: Print Inventory Transaction Register

Continuing on this thread, has anyone every queried the MBCOREP file and
look to see which inventory transactions haven't been posted by COM?

If you look at COABCM = '0', these transactions never posted. Most of the
time this is due to the U-JOB being held.. Just curious if anyone has/had
this problem. I had a customer have a problem last week with this and when
we queried the file, they had 30 records that were never posted for the
last 2 years.

Inventory is updated immediately.. This is just the transaction register,
and customer should definitely run this every few months, because this
file get very very very large.

To the list,
Most of my customers forget to run the COM Inventory Transaction Register.

After a while, this file gets quite large. Does anyone have an automated

function for running this? Does anyone actually use it and is IM History
updated at this point or during the Shipment Process?

Thanks.
Eric
