There are really two things that I was looking to accomplish with an
independent MAPICS website

 - a discussion thread that was more user oriented (vs IT oriented) with
the particiaption of "experts" to answer  how-to-use type questions

 - a place for third-parties who are not MAPICS 'partners' to promote their
products and services

I think this thread is great and would not want to do anything to distract
from what it does but I see that most of the questions and discussions are
technical. Seems like end-users could benefit from this same kind of forum.
