Item accounting class code (ITACIM) is in the ITEMASA (or ITMRVA) record.
Do you have the MTHACT (Monthly Activity Reporting) enhancement from
MAPICS? It's a great tool to pull reports like what it sounds like you are
doing. You get records in 3 files for invoices that you can easily query
for reporting of sales. TONS easier than going through all the COM
"normalized" database files. (What academic genius came up with the name
"normalized" for that sort of database design? It's anything but normal to
me!)

MTHACTX (Invoice Header)
MTHACTY (Invoice Item Detail)
MTHACTZ (Special Charge Lines)

I think there's a MTHACTY for bookings, too, but we don't do that. You
could very easily write a query over MTHACTX and ITEMASA/ITMRVA to get the
report you are looking for.

But I suppose ITCLS is the item class and not the accounting class.

It's in the ITEMASA and ITEMBL files - ITCLS is the field name.

Subject: CO/CM - Accounting Class

Hello Group,
Does anyone know which file contains the 'accounting class' field that is
available while doing customer orders/credit memos? On the browser, I had a
look at all available fields for 'CO History Line Item' and I could not
find
any field pertaining to accounting class.

Essentially, I would like to run a report that lists the CM#, item#,
accounting class for all YTD credit memos. I would like to know if this can
be done on the browser? If not, what are the files and field names I need
to
use for my AS/400 query. Look forward to responses.

Regards,
Nandu
