Ship-to type field usage in MBDHREP

Does anyone know what the field DHAAGV "Ship-to type" is used for or if it is 
used in MBDHREP?  My customer is trying to get a handle on Drop-Ship orders and 
the only indication is the "¿" in the Ship-to number.  However, if almost any 
field is changed on the Ship-to screen, MAPICS considers it an override.

I was thinking of using the "Ship-to Maintenance" user exit to check for the 
"¿" and then pop-up a window asking if the order was a drop ship.  Does anyone 
else deal with drop ships and do/how do you track them?
