MAPICS the Magazine was a periodical put out by Phoenix Publishing, a
branch of Phoenix Software, which was run by Walt and Anna Jones. The last
I heard, they were getting out of the software business, and also the
publishing business. Of course, I could easily be wrong, but I certainly
haven't heard anything from them in a long time. In the old S/36 MAPICS II
days, they were really big in the MAPICS world - haven't heard anything
about them since the Marcam days.

I agree, it was an excellent periodical. Perhaps Penton Publishing might
be interested in restarting it? I certainly get enough garbage magazines
and periodicals that are sent free, and are worth almost what I pay for
them.

I know I'd subscribe to it and would be willing to actually pay for the
subscription!

Seriously, thanks for the kind words.

I have not done any direct consulting with MAPICS users for a couple
years
but I still like to stay in touch. And I still have a few copies of
those
books taking up space in my closet.
