We use shared program libraries.

We think the problem may be with some logicals that our in our test library.
This test library is part of the library list for our test environment, but
not the production environment.

Bryan,

Are you using a shared program library for both environments or do you have
a separate program library for each environment? If each environment has
its own program library, are you at the same PTF Level in both environments?

Subject: Data decimal error when running MRP in test environment

I just refreshed our test environment from tape and when we run MRP in test,
we get the following error:

Message . . . . : AMM34 2019 decimal-data error in field (C G S D F).

Cause . . . . . : The RPG program AMM34 in library XAR55PTF found a

decimal-data error at statement 2019. One field did not contain valid

numeric data. The digit and/or sign is not valid. Recovery . . . :
Enter
C to cancel, G to continue processing at *GETIN, S to obtain a system
dump,
or D to obtain an RPG formatted dump. Possible choices for replying to

  message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : D -- Obtain RPG formatted dump.
S
  -- Obtain system dump. G -- Continue processing at *GETIN. C -- Cancel. F
--
  Obtain full formatted dump.

I cannot understand why we get this in test and not production. I used last
night's back up tapes to refresh the test environment and MRP ran
successfully last night. I refreshed the test environment today from tape
and we immediately ran MRP. A programmer suspects it is somehow related to
refreshing from tape and believes I need to refresh using the menu option in
CAS.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Thanks in advance.
