Peter,
I have done this using something Mapics posted on the response. I have an
acct that does a system back on the weekends So I set up procs and put in
the scheduled jobs to shutdown the U-Jobs prior to the system backup... Then
re-starts after... If you are interested let me know and we can figure out a
way to give the info...

Hello Peter,

I recommend looking at a product called ROBOT, from Help Systems. That's
what we use, and it works great. It totally automates any screen
processing you need. You can also do a "cheap out" by using a Windows
macro at a specified time to run a script that will sign a user on after
the subsystems are started (I assume you use the "end of backup procedure"
to do that), and record a macro to sign a user on, hit enter an extra time
or two on the first menu, then do you CAS, 3, 12, and so on, then sign the
PC off in the macro. We use that to run system backups every week.

TRANSACTION UPDATE

Hi list:

I am XA V2 R6 PTF3196.

When we do backups, we end all subsystems. When we restart them, we want
to be
able to restart this unattached job automatically, without any manual
intervention.

Is this possible? How?

Thanks in advance.
