Don't have a detailed recollection of setting up features and
options, I just remember it was a bear to deal with. If you're
interested, my company sells a Mapics integrated Configurator that can
replace the feature / option approach to specifying products. It's not as
complex or expensive as KBC and can interface back as far as Mapics/DB-3.

If you're interested, you can email back or call me at the number
below. Thanks.

Our Bills of Materials are quite detailed, our products can be configured in
many different ways, and as such, we would like to implement Features and
Options.

All of our documentation references setting up the S-Number Template for
the PDM
tailoring Questionnaire, but we are using PDM+, and there is no tailoring
Questionnaire for this that I can find!

Also, what are the rules for adding Features and options to a BOM? When I
attempt to do this in the TEST environment, I get any manner of errors stating
such things as "Feature/Option conflicts with Parent item type" etc. The only
time that I am successful is when I add something to a bill and call it a
"Phantom"?

As an example, here is a common scenario that we would like to attempt to
tackle
using Features and Options. (Bear in mind that this is our take on how this
should work, if we ever get that far)
