MRP uses these fields in conjunction with some of the lot sizing (order
policy code) calculations to assign recommendations and/or change the
recommended order quantity of planned orders.

Min sets the minimum quantity for a planned order. If the calculated order
quantity is less than the "min", MRP will up the order quantity to this
amount. This does not apply to the "discrete" order policy code (A).

Max will not limit or reduce the quantity planned because then the planned
order might not meet the requirements. Rather, any planned order higher
than this amount will be flagged with an exception message "maxlim" to let
you know that the recommended quantity is higher than what you said was
acceptable.
