I work for American Presence, Inc. and we have a solution called Presence and
we are a business partner with MAPICS.  Presence is a Java application that
will monitor any database on any platform, including MAPICS on the AS/400.
Simply put, Presence would monitor the order information and automatically
update any information stored elsewhere, including sending out notifications
to the appropriate people via email, fax, SMS, HTML, and/or EDI.

Presence also includes 9 pre-configured alerts designed specifically for
MAPICS which include shipment notifications, inventory out of stock
notifications, order behind schedule alert, and purchase receipts due.
Presence can also be used to alert sales reps of customers put on credit hold,
vendor tracking/ratings, RMA notices, and past due notices.
