RE: License Fees for upgrade with Same Processor category

As far as I can tell MAPICS does it as well with their tiers with
the IBM tier structure. This is the first I have heard of Midrange
doing it. They do have a license data area in their library but i am
not sure if they check it. I do know they do not use the 400 license
manager.

I would try it on the new box and see if it works or negotiate
with them for a greatly reduced maintenance fee since they have
pretty much eliminated support and bug fixes. As companies wind
down they do lots of strange things to attempt to sustain the
revenue stream. Some $$ are better than 0 $$.
