Doesn't that user exit run in BATCH????? I don't know how you would be able
to do this in Batch? You would need to do something else to trigger a
server to produce the document. Is the Printer that the paperwork is to
print dedicated to this? You could have issues with reports printing out of
sequence.

If you are using Client Access (or an emulator that supports STRPCCMD),
should be easy. We use STRPCCMD but you have to start the organizer first
(STRPCO). CA also supports remote command execution.

Subject: COM user exits

To all -

I've been charged with an "inter-species breeding project."

What we want to happen is to use the COM user exit UMBSHP3R (Exit: Pack
List) to automatically print a Word document when an item or items on a
packing list meet certain criteria. It would be ideal if they would print
on
the same printer, one after the other, so the shipping clerk could pick up
the whole stack and slap it into the packing list "baggie" without having
to
assemble anything.

Anyone else doing this? Thanks - Joan
