       If you're going to continue to process, in Mapics, all but check
printing, why couldn't you run a single W2 from Mapics at yearend?   We're
doing something similar to this (non Mapics payroll) where we update the
inhouse payroll files with a download from the payroll service bureau and
run some custom reports.  At end of last year (first year we did this) we
ran matching W2s to confirm processing.  Either set of W2s could have been
used.
