Thank you for responding. There are many reasons some of which are,
manually having to update tax tables, no vacation accrual 401(k) tracking,
change the check stub, terminated employee information, turnover analysis
and being able to run reports on demand just to name a few.

Also having to pay $7000.00 annually for software that has not had a major
enhancement in many years. It was just this past year end that the Employee
master extension file was added and now I can sort without having to
substring.

We are getting ready to replace the Mapics Payroll app and are having some
debate. I was asked to query the list-serve to see what others have done.
We are a make to order manufacture with 125 employees.

Does anyone use Optimum Solutions for payroll?

Do you outsource your payroll and is it tied into Mapics? Who do you
outsource to? Who wrote the interface programs?
