RE: EC - 855 - questions

I had the same problem,  every time that COM generates an Acknowledgement
one 'duplicate' 855 is created.

The problem was solved with a User Exit that checks for existing 855 with
the same PO,  if exist put the transaction that is being generated on HOLD.

Steps:
1) Get the PO from ACK segment.
2) Create key to read the TPDCTLL1 as follows:
 MAPICS env designator:    MM
 EDI trading Partner:      XXXXXX
 Standard body:            ANSI
 Transaction Set ID:       855
 Direction:                S
 Generic value 1:          *-- PO NUMBER --*
3) If record exist, read the TPDCTLL1 again but using the Control Number
from the transaction that is being generated,
then change the value of status field to 'HOLD'.

We are at version XA R4.

I have a trading partner that wants an 855 PO Acknowledgment.   EC, COM, and
Premenos are all set up and working fine.
To get the edi document, someone has to manually go to the print
acknowledgment option in COM and print a paper copy.  At the same time the
ACK is printed the EDI document is sent out.

Is there a way to automate this so that a person is not envolved in the
process?    Also if a user prints twice you get 2 EDI documents.  Is there a
way to limit the EDI side to just one copy?
