Since the DBU thread was off topic, I thought I'd revisit a topic
about Client Access that I posted and was redirected to the
mid-range list where no one cared or knew!

Last year we replaced our AS400 with an I-Series AND replaced
our Novell server with a W2000 Domain. Subsequently we lost
the ability to pass user passwords into the AS400, users were
forced to log in twice. I was convinced it was a domain security
issue since we had so many - but I was wrong.

Turns out it was a SYSVAL setting: QRMTSIGN = *VERIFY

For users who's network account names were being passed
improperly. Go to Client Access's AS/400 Operations Navigator,
right-click your AS/400 connection, select properties, then connection,
ensure that "Use windows Name & Password, No Prompting" is
selected. (If their password shows up as their account name, blank
it out first!!!)

I hope this is of help to someone, my users are euphoric!
In the MAPICS world, sometimes the little things count the most!
