You are essentially correct - the "real time" is from PLMC to MAPICS; a
refresh has to be done to update the data from MAPICS to PLMC. But, what the
heck do you have in your files?!? Our refresh takes only 10 minutes; 20
minutes, tops. We have them automatically scheduled (using AS/400 job
scheduler) to run at 5:00 am, noon, and 5:30 pm. Our production control
staff knows to run a "Refresh all" if they have critical changes to MO's
between these times. We're not using PLMC for PO receiving, however, but we
always choose "refresh all," not refresh MO's or employees only.

Is anyone having a problem with MDCC/PLMC in that the Inventory transactions
processed in MAPICS are not able to be viewed in MDCC/PLMC until a "full"
refresh is performed?  Are we missing something or is this correct?

For example, if an IA is done to correct a Batch/Lot number, Location
or quantity, and now you go into the PLMC screens (GUI or green), the
adjusted/corrected information is not available.  The full refresh takes 2-3
hours during the day and 1 hour during the night.

My customer was sold (and told) that PLMC is "On-line/Real-time" but in fact
it is only one-way. PLMC to MAPICS is real-time. MAPICS to PLMC does not
appear to be.
