Bonnie,

Look at using Triggers to intercept the transaction in the batch and change
the FIFO date for the particular transactions that you want.

To determine slow moving inventory, the plant wants to implement FIFO
dating (not for any accounting purposes).
But to reduce the number of 'locations' they want to use a single date
through out the month.

Rather than rely on the persons keying the transactions, IT has been
requested to drop in the first day of the
month on the receiving programs. We are at XAR6 and have already
experienced some pain with
the base Mapics receiving programs - I'd hate to modify too many.

Has anyone done this? I have identified at least 8 programs to change.

All comments welcome!

Thanks,
Bonnie Lokenvitz
