I am familiar with AVE, but I believe this product is only for COMPONENTS,
and I'm looking one level UP, not down - looking at the availability of the
parent item.

We have lower level items that can be packaged into many different end items
and/or kits - and need to have visibility of what the DEMAND is. Is it
customer order? or forecast? is it private label, OEM, or whatever.

I know about this company American Viking Enterprises of Florida Inc.
They have something called "Indented Item Availability Analysis" and
apparently
some of the product highlights are:
Highlights inventory material shortages for all components required
to
        build an item
Allows for on-line inquiry of component shortage analysis as well as
        reports
Provides shortage checking across multiple warehouses
        Componet replenishment/scheduled receipts time-phased analysis
Window inquiry to view MRP planned orders per component
Windows inquiry to view scheduled receipts per component
Windows inquiry to view allocations per component
Actual shortage quantities displayed per component
        Optional shortage-only analysis mode
        Features & options supported
        Effectivity dates supported

Good luck!
Peter Vidal

We have a request to provide a custom online Single Level Where Used display
showing on-hand, on-order, and customer requirements.

Are any of you aware of any third party solutions we can use to short cut
this?
