RE: Changing of Item Numbers -- MAPICS-L

× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Custom Systems did a similar project for us in 1998 when we moved from
MAPICS II on System 36 to XA REL 4 on AS400. We used SPACES, (yes that's
correct) in our item numbers years ago to make them line up nicely??? They
stripped out all the spaces which is in effect changing the part number.
HOWEVER, this was done on a test system prior to going live. We had very few
OOPS but it was a major part of our conversion effort.
