We've done this before.  Manufacturing orders are easy if you are doing B/M 'Rel' and Routing 'Y' type orders.  You simply need to populate ORDATAM and ORDATC correctly. One issue I saw is that you are safest if you create the 'reservation' record in MOMAST, that is a record with the order number but an ACREC value of 'X'.  It gets more interesting if you need to do a B/M 'Now' type order.  Then study the code used to print the inventory transaction register from an external call to figure out how to call Order Release externally.

Subject: Releasing Mfg. Orders from external list

Has anyone experience with creating a batch to add and release new manufacturing orders from an external file?

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
